Tamang, on the Mechi Mahakali Journey in a wheelchair, Nepal

Kapilvastu, Nepal: Ram Bahadur Tamang, who is on a Mechi-Mahakali Journey in a wheelchair, has been welcomed at Kapilvastu’s Chandrauta. Tamang, 38, a resident of Sindhupalchok Rural Municipality -7, was felicitated on the 18th day of the journey at Shivaraj-5, Chandrauta on Tuesday.

Tamang, who is on the Mechi-Mahakali Journey, said that one should not become mentally handicapped even though they are physically handicapped and should do what mind can do.

He said that he decided to travel as no one in the world has ever traveled in a wheelchair to such distances.

Mahadev Pokhrel, president of the Trade Association Kapilvastu, said that people should not be mentally handicapped even if they are physically handicapped.
