Multiple Dead After Explosion at Bar in Switzerland’s Crans-Montana Ski Resort

Switzerland bar blast news: Several people were killed, and others injured in an explosion in a bar in the ski resort of Crans-Montana in Switzerland, BBC reported.

The blast took place at 01:30 local time (00:30 GMT) in the Constellation Bar, the police told the BBC in a statement.

According to BBC, an unverified footage, that has gone viral on social media, showed fire burning at a bar as it celebrated on New Year’s Eve.

A helpline for kin of people affected has already been set up, the police said.

While Swiss news outlet Blick reported the fire may have been caused by the fireworks during a New Years Eve concert,  Swiss police said the cause is unknown.

Crans-Montana is a luxury ski resort town, located about two hours from the Swiss capital of Bern.
