Siraha: The deforestation work has been expedited by operating dozers illegally in the Chure area.
Dhangadhi Maai 12 Aahale area of Siraha has started turning the hillsides in the Chure area into farms by using a dozer at night.
The reality has come out after the locals, Phulgen Mahato and Mishri Lal Mahato, had demolished the hillsides with a dozer and build a field on the main road of cattle grazing.
A patrol team of the Forest Department deployed from District Forest Office Lahan and Sub Division Forest Office Dhangadhi inspected the site at 4 pm today after the locals registered a written application at Division Forest Office Lahan.
According to the District Forest Office, Siraha, legal action will be taken against locals Fulgen and Mishri Lal Mahato.
