Negligence of surveyor’s office: Citizens suffer due to lack of timely delivery of services, Nepal News

Nepal: Locals have complained that Napi office Chandrauta did not provide services on time. Locals say that there is no surveyor for many years after cutting the receipt to draw the land owned by the landowner.

When the office is negligent in providing services to the customers, the citizens will suffer. Nirhu Yadav, a resident of Krishnanagar municipality, bought 9 dhur of land about 3 years ago. Bahadurganj-1 plot number 1379 in Krishnanagar municipality of the district is in his name.

Yadav has not been able to build the house even though all the preparations have been completed. Yadav said that on 26th Falgun 2077, a receipt of 2,630 rupees was cut from the surveyor’s office Chandrauta to unify the area of the land that had been divided by saying that houses should not be built repeatedly.

Yadav said that when the land surveyor’s office is negligent in this way, the customer waits for years for lack of a surveyor, Yadav said. He said: “I bought the land to build a house, but it has been a problem since there is no surveyor for a long time.” Yadav added: “Employees are delaying the work of poor people and delaying the work of lower class common citizens.”

Yadav said that even though he had gone to the office to ask for the land to be measured many times, it would be done today, but he was giving trouble by saying that it was too late. He says that if the office cannot work even after the receipt has been cut for years, people will be suspicious of the office. When he found out that he had taken a video while he was going to work, an employee of the office asked Yadav not to make it public saying that his work would be delayed.

On the other hand, the head of the surveyor’s office, Devendranath Yadav, said that reporting should not be done without knowing the reasons why the work has been stopped. He said that some of the neighbors may have stayed due to a lack of mutual understanding and asked the concerned person to be sent to the office. Surveyor Bechan Prasad Gupta admitted that the work could not be done on time due to problems such as staff transfer.

According to surveyor Gupta, the time has been extended because the employees coming one after the other are not aware of the matter and the concerned person has not come to the office.
