Poor cyclist nearly killed by Nepali Police Force

One person has been injured in an attack by the Armed Police Force at Palhi Nandan Village Rural Municipality, Ward No. 1, Maheshpur in West Nawalparasi.

Meanwhile, Gopal Gupta, a resident of Maheshpur, was beaten by the Armed Police Force while entering India from the Maheshpur border this afternoon. He had taken a bicycle to the Thuthibari Bazaar in India and was on his way to a place patrolled by the Armed Police Force. On his way back after the Armed Forces did not allow him to go, he parked his bicycle for a while at 10 meters apart.

He was attacked by the Armed Police Force (APF) while answering questions on the issue after the Armed Forces (APF) told him not to park his bicycle here.

Gupta was attacked by an ASI of the Armed Police Force. The inspector of Harpur Border Armed Police Force has informed that they will take departmental action and send him to another battalion and the injured will have to bear the medical expenses themselves.

According to locals, Gupta’s condition is now normal and he is undergoing further treatment at Prithvi Chandra Hospital.
