Nawalparasi: A stage play against the practice of Black Magic has been completed in Sarawal Rural Municiplaity Ward No. 5 of West Nawalparasi.
A theatrical drama program against the practice of black magic has been completed with the support of Adarsh Samvad Center Dubai and the support of ABC Nepal, Strom Foundation, and coordination of Sarawal Rural Municipality.
A stage play program was held under the chairmanship of Dharmaraj Sahani, chairperson of the dialogue support committee of the Adarsh Dialogue Center, and Uttama Rai, vice-chairperson of Sarawal rural municipality.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chairman Rai said that the practice of black magic was a social crime. She said that black magic is a conservative tradition and if one blames anyone, they will be punished with legal punishment. She also thanked the adolescents and ABC Nepal are ready for raising public awareness against the practice of black magic through drama.
Chief Administrative Officer of Sarawal Rural Municipality Buddha Prakash Poudel, Ward No. 5 Ward Chairman Dinesh Sahani, Ward No. 3 Ward Chairman Anendranath Rai, Managing Director of Radio Parasi Meghraj Gautam, Journalist Malti Neupane, Executive Director of Rastriya Dainik Umesh Kumar B.K and Gobarahiya Police Post in-charge Dharma Bahadur Kunwar, Chairman of the Management Committee of Janata Aadharbhut Vidyalaya Dhangadwa, Gapichand Harijan, Chairman of the Teachers and Parents Association, Shri Ram Gaud, Social Worker Dinesh Fauzdar including others expressed their views requesting not to engage in such superstitions.
The stage play was directed by ABC Nepal’s Field Supervisor Saida Nisha Pathan. The program was conducted by journalist Mahesh Yadav.
