Environmental Sanitation and Orientation Program Completed in Sarawal, West Nawalparasi, Nepal

An environmental sanitation and orientation program has been completed in Sarawal Rural Municipality of West NawalParasi on the occasion of Children’s Day with the support of ABC Nepal, Storm Foundation and Sarawal Rural Municipality itself.

Chairman of Sarawal Rural Municipality Mr. Radheshyam Chaudhary were chief guest, and vice-chairman Uttama Rai, Chief administrative officer Budha Prakash Poudel and ABC Nepal’s Regional Head Manoj Lamichhane were special hospitality. The chief guest Mr. Chaudhary spoke on the occasion of Children’s Day. He said that the motivation for the child-friendly campaign and revealing about the protections from Covid-19. Chairman of the Network Mr. Mahesh Yadav were the chairman of the campaign.

Speaking on the occasion, the distinguished guest Rai said that children need to be treated well, so we should work together to implement a child-friendly campaign. She called for freeing children from child labor, child marriage, violence and drug abuse.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Lamichhane, Regional Head of ABC Nepal, said that the National Children’s Day was aimed at helping the poor and helpless children who are backward and unable to go to school. He said that ABC Nepal, Strom Foundation and Sarawal Rural Municipality are leading media to assure children’s fundamental rights. He also aware about the Covid-19 infestation.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sushant Ghimire, President of Sankalp Foundation, said that in order to implement child-friendly environment, the former children should be fully educated and their awareness should be understood to implement the child-friendly campaign.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Yadav said that ensuring child rights in times of calamity is a common commitment of all of us. He said that he would support the child-friendly campaign to liberate people from child labor and child abusement.

The program started with a welcome address by Durga B.K, a member of Samvad Kishor Kishori Network. Nepal Red Cross Society Balpuri Deputy Branch Secretary Sanjay Maurya, Agriculture Branch Chief Kuldeep Mishra, Health Branch Chief Om Narayan Devkota, Janmajay Yadav, chairman of Domestic and small Industries Business Sarawal, Social campaigner Muhammad Izhar Shesh, Journalist Umesh B.K. , Social worker Sushila Harijan and teenagers were the participants of the program. The program was conducted by Sandeep B.K, Treasurer of Kishor Kishori Network.
