Nawalparasi, Nepal: Goats have been distributed to farmers in Sarawal of West Nawalparasi. Goats have been distributed to goat farmers of Patani, Ward No. 3 of Sarawal Rural Municipality.
Goats were distributed to the farmers today at a function presided over by Somkanti Chaudhary, Chairman of Sagam Goat Farmers Group, Radheshyam Chaudhary, Chairman of Sarawal Rural Municipality Nepal and Buddha Prakash Poudel, Chief Administrative Officer.
Under the Prime Minister’s Agriculture Modernization Project, goats have been provided for the goat pocket area. Equal to Rs.1.5 million, goats have been distributed to goat farmers, said Yam Aryal, head of the Animal Husbandry Branch.
He said that the Sarawal Rural Municipality has been implementing various agricultural programs to create employment in the country by developing the agricultural sector and making the youth, women and old people self-reliant in agriculture.
He said that the goats have been distributed to the goat farmers with the objective of helping the youth and farmers to work in the country and earn a living.
Speaking on the occasion, the special guest Poudel said that the goats have been distributed to the goat farmers of Patani in order to achieve the objective of the Sarawal rural municipality and create employment in the country by raising goats.
Goats were distributed among the guests including Bheshanarayan Chaudhary, Ward Chairman of Sarawal Rural Municipality Ward No. 1, Shambhu Chaudhary, Ward Chairman of Ward No. 2, and Anendra Nath Rai, Ward Chairman of Ward No. 3.
