Nawalparasi, Nepal: Sarawal Rural Municipality of West Nawalparasi, Nepal has handed over relief items to poor and needy families.
On Saturday, Parasi Sewa Samaj handed over the relief materials received from UAE to the poor and needy families by Sarawal Rural Municipality.
To help the poor and needy families who have lost their jobs due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the Sarawal Rural Municipality has handed over the relief materials received from the UAE by the Parasi Sewa Samaj in a program today.
Relief materials have been handed over to about 7 poor and needy households in Ward No. 2 and 3 who lost their jobs due to the Coronavirus epidemic.
According to Narayan Pandey, Accounts Officer of the rural municipality, the relief items including 25 kg of rice, 3 kg of vegetables, 2 kg of pulses, 2 liters of oil, 2 kg of salt and 1 kg of soybean were handed over to the poor and needy households.
Stating that the Sarawal Rural Municipality has been providing relief materials to the poor and needy families in the municipality with the help of various organizations and donor agencies, Chairman Radheshyam Chaudhary said that he would always support the well-being of all the villagers in the municipality and work for the welfare of the municipality.
He urged the people of the municipality to be vigilant in the event of an epidemic and thanked the Parasi Sewa Samaj.
Relief materials were handed over in the presence of Sarawal Rural Municipality Chief Administrative Chief Buddha Prakash Poudel under the presence of Ward Chairman of Ward No. 3 Anendra Nath Rai and others.
