According to the New York Post, a couple from Utah was detained because they believed that having intercourse with them instead of “strangers” would be “safer” for their teenage daughter.
According to KSL.com, the teen’s mother and stepfather, who are both in their 30s, were arrested on Thursday and brought to the Utah County Jail to be investigated for object rape, forced sodomy and forced sexual abuse. In connection with a rape inquiry, the stepfather was also detained.

To keep the victim safe, the suspects’ identities were kept a secret.

In a phone contact to law enforcement, the teenager said that her “father had been raping her for a least a year and a half.” The youngster disclosed that her mother knew about the sexual assault as well.

In a police arrest affidavit that KSL.com was able to obtain, the parents acknowledged having sex with their daughter for more than a year.

“(The stepfather) clarified that he and the victim’s mother discovered a year prior that the victim desired to meet and engage in sexual activity with strangers. He said that he and his spouse had determined it would be safer to teach the victim about sex and have intercourse with them.

If official charges are brought by the Utah County Attorney’s Office, the parents may be charged with additional crimes, according to the police.

According to ABC4, the daughter’s mother discovered that “the victim was wanting to meet and have sex with strangers” and therefore, the daughter’s parents reportedly contacted her when she was 14 years old.

According to the paperwork, the girl’s mother discovered Snapchat photographs and internet chats featuring her in “sexual situations”.

According to the complaint, the girl’s parents purchased her sex devices and taught her “how to use them” on both them and herself.

According to ABC 4, the mother allegedly also informed authorities that the girl just witnessed them having sex.

According to the media site, the girl confronted her mother a few weeks ago regarding a damaged condom. When the mother of five addressed her husband, he allegedly denied having “full intercourse with the victim.”

But according to reports, the father told the police he had intercourse with the 15-year-old.

Because they constitute a “substantial risk” to their children, they are being kept at the Utah County Jail without the ability to post bond, as reported by ABC 4.
