A two-day training on women empowerment has been completed with the support of the ward office of ward no. 6 of West Nawalparasi Sarawal Rural Municipality organized by Sankalpa Foundation at Pusauli village, Nepal.
Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest of training Kailash Yadav said we are always in support of women rights. Sushant Ghimere were chairperson and Mohammad Izhar Seikh of chairman of Judicial Advisory Forum were distinguished guest of empowerment training.
Yadav also added, We have been conducting various trainings from time to time in coordination with various NGOs in order to reduce the various forms of violence against women and to create awareness about their rights. Many also thanked Sankalpa Foundation for conducting such training.
While giving training in the program, distinguished guest and trainer Mohammad Izhar Seikh said that the Government of Nepal has made various rules and regulations for the rights of women. However, women in our community and society are deprived of education. If we look at our society, women are also facing problems due to discrimination between boys and girls.
Many in the community have a tradition teaching their son but and not to their daughters. Incidents like violence, rape, sexual violence, domestic violence are increasing. He said that in order to reduce this, it is necessary to move towards achieving women’s rights with the slogan “Raising daughter by providing education”.

Speaking on the occasion chairman Ghimere, were happy to conduct a two-day training on women’s empowerment by Sankalpa Foundation with the objective of informing about the laws and policies of the government. And Sankalpa Foundation and himself as a social worker also promised support for the rights of women.
The program started with the welcome speech of Sanjay Jaiswal, the representative of Sankalpa Foundation and was attended by 50 women including girls. The training was attended by ward member Binda Devi Dhobi, Annata Devi Chaudhary, Nem Narayan Yadav and ABC Nepali facilitator Saida Nisha Pathan. The program was conducted by Mahesh Yadav, Manager of Sarawal Children Voice.
