Rohit Paudel, the captain of the Nepali national cricket team, was honored on Monday in his home district, Nawalparasi. Paudel, a resident of Bardghat-14, Buddha Basti, was honored by various organizations including the Ramgram Jaycees of Nawalparasi district on Monday.
A dozen organizations including the District Sports Development Committee, Ramgram Jaycees have honored Nepal for making the name of Nepal high at the international level through sports. Captain Paudel said that this time he succeeded in winning an important victory in the history of Nepali cricket and said that there is still a long way to go. Poudel mentioned that this victory is the victory of all Nepalis.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Ritman Kamu, Chairman of the District Sports Development Committee, Hari Sharma, Chairman of Nepal Journalist Federation Nawalparasi, and Beni Madhav Basyal, Chairman of Ramgram Jaycees, congratulated the Nepalese cricket team for achieving important achievements under the leadership of Captain Paudel.
The Nepali cricket team won the recently concluded World Cup Cricket League 2 Triangular Series and has been selected for the World Cup Qualifiers. Government and Non-Governmental Organizations have been honoring them as encouragement. The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Monday has decided to give Rs 100,000 to 6 senior players represented by the state and 50,000 rupees to 5 junior players.
