Kapilvastu, Nepal: The elderly and outstanding students have been honored by the Badalpura Khutana Patidari family in Buddhabhumi Municipality-4, Morma, Kapilbastu. The Khutana Patidari family honored the students who have achieved excellent marks in the basic level, SEE, 10th and 2nd level in Patidari.
80 Years Rajaram Tharu of Morma, Jokhu Tharu, 79, of Sagarhawa, Lauti Tharu, 78, of Gorusinge and Harji Tharu, 75, of Sagarhawa were felicitated at the program. Similarly, Vijay Tharu, a student of 10th level of Morma and Chahana Tharu, a student of Kopwa were honored for bringing excellent marks in the family.
Similarly, Ayaz Tharu of Baidauli and Shrishti Tharu of Morma, Bandana Singh Dangoria of Kopwa, Pustam Tharu of Badalpura were honored with educational materials and food on behalf of SEE, said Mahadev Tharu, Chairman of Badalpura Khutana Patidari.
He informed that they have been conducting Khutna family program with the objective of preserving and promoting family unity, mutual harmony and the original identity of the Tharu community.
Chairman of Badalpura Khutana Patidari, Tharu, said that the honor program would help unite the family and encourage the children. Mahadev, chairman of Tharu leader and social activist of Khutana Patidari, said that they have found a total of 126 houses in Khutana Patidari after conducting research for the past 4 years.
He said that they have come in contact with Khutana Patidari in Kopwa, Baidauli, Harnampur, Sagarahawa, Gorusingani, Gorusingia, Morma, Badalpura, Gajehada and Thanti villages.
Similarly, Secretary of Khutana Patidari Bhabhuti Prasad Tharu said that this Badalpura Khutana Patidari Ancient Norms and values, ancient respect and get-together program will unite the family. “We have been holding regular meetings with the members of this Khutna Patidari to unite and have been collecting monthly savings,” said Secretary Tharu.
He informed that he has been helping the financially deprived families and has also invested in loans.
Secretary Tharu said that they used to organize this program on the day of Magh Purnima (Full Moon) every year and also held Tharu cultural program.
He later said that he has been teaching the language identity and culture of the Tharu community to our future generations.
The program was chaired by Mahadev Tharu, chairman and vice-chairman of Baladpura Khutana Patidari.
Patidari’s advisors Budhai Tharu, Hakim Tharu, Ram Samuj Tharu, Kallu Tharu, Madhav Tharu, Gyan Badur Tharu, Gulavi Tharu, Sarita Tharu and others informed that such type of program is necessary.
