How to reduce child labor effective interaction with media personnel, The Horizon Times

Chandrauta: An interaction program with media personnel has been completed in Kapilvastu to reduce child labor. According to the statistics of children working in brick kilns at three local levels of the district, the interaction was held on Tuesday on the role of media in minimizing child labor.

According to a survey conducted at brick kilns, Mina Pariyar, chairperson of the Dalit Human Rights Monitoring Committee, Kapilvastu, said that the local media would broadcast and publish information on child labor reduction through social media including radio, newspapers, and online magazines.

She said that there is a plan to reduce child labor by monitoring the brick kilns, hotels, restaurants, factories, grocery shops, and other areas in Shivraj, Maharajgunj, and Buddhibhumi.

She said that the government has prepared a master plan for the elimination of child labor but it has not been implemented.
