Relief distribution to flood-displaced families by Sarawal rural municipality

Nawalparasi, Nepal: Relief materials have been distributed to the flood victims in Sarawal rural municipality of West Nawalparasi, Nepal.

Relief materials have been distributed to the displaced families.

Food items have been distributed to the flood victims of Sarawal Rural Municipality, Ward No. 6 under the Inclusive Rural Development Project Nawalparasi with the financial assistance of Koika and technical assistance of Good Neighbors International.

Food items have been distributed to 45 households of Ward No. 6 under the chairmanship of Sarawal Disaster Management Committee and Rural Municipality Chairman Radheshyam Chaudhary.

Relief distribution to flood-displaced families by Sarawal rural municipality

Some households have been completely displaced, crops are damage and floods have been seen in different areas of the rural municipality. Food items have been distributed to the displaced families as relief, said Chaudhary.

He said that the municipality has distributed food items in coordination and cooperation with various organizations and will always help the Sarawal villagers and themselves in their grief and sorrow.

To the families displaced by the floods, with the financial support of Kaika and technical assistance and agreement of Good Neighbors International, the inclusive rural development project Nawalparasi under the initiative of locals and in coordination with Sarawal rural municipality, 25 kg of rice per person, 5 kg of pulses, 2.5 kg of oil, 2 kg of iodine salt, 3 kg of bitten-rice, 12 biscuits, 1 kg of mixed fried pulses, 3 pieces of detail soap, 3 pieces of laundry soap, 1 toothpaste, 3 toothbrushes, 2 tripods, 1 bucket, 1 pad, 2 bags were distributed.

In the presence of Rural Municipality Vice President Uttama Rai, Chief Administrative Officer Buddha Prakash Poudel, Ward Chairman of Ward No. 2 Sambhu Chaudhary, Ward Chairman of Ward No. 5, Dinesh Sahani, Executive Member Jantira Sahani, Livelihood Administrative Officer Durga Jethara, Expert Sunil Dulal,

Procurement Consultant Krishna Pandey, Disaster Management Coordinator Abdul Razzak, and Project Facilitator Kabita Kalwar food items were distributed as a relief.
