NawalParasi, Nepal: A stage play program against drugs has been completed in Gobarahiya, Ward No. 4 of Sarawal Rural Municipality of West Nawalparasi.
A stage play against drugs has been organized bu Kalila Dialogue Center with the financial support of ABC Nepal, Storm Foundation with cooperation of Sarawal Rural Municipality.
An anti-drug drama program was held under the chairmanship of SST member of Kalika Dialogue Center Shanti Chaudhary and ward secretary of Sarawal Rural Municipality Ward No. 4 Ashok Kumar Pandey and social worker Sukhadi Prasad Chaudhary.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Pandey said that the number of drug addicts in the community is increasing day by day. By consuming drugs, people have ruined their families, society and their lives as well. So, some of them are making the lives of their families and children worse by being victims of drugs.
It is also seen that people have left their lands and houses to take drugs and become homeless. He said that all should work together to solve the problem and raise public awareness in the community.
Speaking on the occasion, the special guest Chaudhary said that the people and children living in the community have been using drugs by learning from their parents and friends, while others have been using drugs due to mental and family stress.
In order to minimize such problems, we need to raise public awareness in the community from our homes, he said. He also thanked the donor group and Drama participants to build a drug free society.
Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhary said that it was necessary to take action against the drug addicts at the local level. He also demanded the closure of liquor shops in the village and action should be taken against those selling such things.
Guests including Kumar Chaudhary, Ranjana Chaudhary, Urmila Chaudhary and Santosh Chaudhary including SST members of the dialogue center were present on the occasion.
While conducting the program, the host Mahesh Yadav also clarified the topics of the program.
