Nepal: Women Empowerment and Equality Interaction Program Held in Bardaghat On February 24,
On the occasion of the 115th International Working Women’s Day, with the slogan “Equality and Empowerment for Women and Children”, an in-depth discussion was held at the Bardaghat Municipality Sabha Hall on the importance of women’s empowerment.
The program was chaired by Bishnu Khanal, President of Sancharika Group Nawalparasi, and Bimala Gurung, Ward Chair of Ward No. 5 of Ardhghat Municipality, as the chief guest.
On the occasion, Ward Chair Gurung said that livelihoods should be improved by implementing schemes based on the rights and interests of women.
The program was facilitated by Usha Kiran Pant, Managing Director of Sancharika Group Lumbini Province. She spoke on issues such as women empowerment, equality, leadership and status of women in the province.
Program facilitator Dolma Chaudhary said that conscious women affiliated with various associations of Nawalparasi were actively participating in the interaction program.
