Bardaghat, Nepal: A blood donation program has been completed in Bardaghat Municipality of West Nawalparasi on the occasion of World Blood Donation Day.
A blood donation program was held at Bardaghat- 4 Bardaghat at Old Post Complex on Monday with the support of Human Rights and Peace Society District Working Committee Nawalparasi Bardaghat Susta West and Bardaghat Red Cross society sub-branch.
According to Prakash Neupane, Joint Secretary of the Human Rights and Peace Society, 50 people donated blood in the program chaired by Santosh Adhikari, District Chairman of the Society and hosted by Dhiraj Sharma Bashyal, Mayor of Bardaghat Municipality.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Mayor Bashyal said that the blood donation program organized by the Human Rights and Peace Society has played an important role in preventing blood shortages in the district.
He also thanked all the blood donors and the organizing team for donating blood in this program and expressed his commitment to always be with the support of Bardaghat Municipality in all the activities of the people here keeping in view the human interest.
On the occasion of World Blood Donation Day, Human Rights and Peace Society Nepal has organized a blood donation program in all 77 districts of the country.
District Working Committee Nawalparasi West has also organized a blood donation program.
President of Bardaghat Red Cross Narayan Prasad Adhikari, officials of the society, and blood donors participated in the program.
