Nawalparasi: On the occasion of National Children’s Day 2078, District-level Level poetry competition has been completed. Organized by Nepal Children’s Organization and with the joint support and cooperation of Sarawal Rural Municipality, Palhinandan Rural Municipality, Pratapupar Rural Municipality, Susta Rural Municipality, Bardaghat Municipality, Sunwal Municipality, and Ramgram Municipality. The higher secondary level poetry competition has been completed.
At the district level, the general situation and the epidemic of covetous child rights have been raised with the slogan that protection of child rights is the responsibility of all of us. The students recited poems on corona infection and the plight of children in the poetry competition.
The District level poetry competition was held under the chairmanship of Nepal Children’s Organization President Pritam Poudel and the chief guest Shiva Shankar Rai.
In the poetry competition Mahakabi Devkota Higer Secondary School’s Sarin Bhandari of Sunwal, Risha Bhattarai of Annapurna Secondary School Sunwal stood second and 3rd Rajmahatma Purna Bhadra Secondary School’s Aarti Pandey of Bardaghat came third, said Deepak Baral, district coordinator of the competition, and district president of the World Literary Foundation.
The first-place winner was awarded Rs 5,000, certificate shield, second prize Rs 3,000 along with certificate shield, and third place winner Rs 2,000 certificate shield, said Mohan Poudel, secretary of the organization. In the District level poetry competition, among 13 high schools, 23 students participated in the competition.
