Kapilvastu, Nepal: Agricultural materials have been distributed to the farmers of Loharaula, a smart agricultural village selected by the Lumbini Province Government.
It is said that materials were distributed to 55 farmers of Loharaula village in Krishnanagar Municipality-8 on Wednesday with the objective of making them self-reliant in agriculture.
Delivery and section pipes including 27 pump sets, 2 water pump motors, 55 charger spray tanks, and 6 cultivators have been distributed, said Thikaram Chaudhary, coordinator of Lohraula Smart Agriculture Village Program Implementation Committee.
Chaudhary said that the materials were distributed to the farmers with the objective of increasing food production and promoting agriculture. He said that 80% of the investment is made by the government and 20% by the farmers.
The village was inaugurated a few days ago with the implementation of agricultural climate-smart, irrigation smart, food nutrition smart, technology smart, and market smart programs.
A local said that the general farmers were happy after receiving the agricultural inputs immediately after the inauguration of the program.
