Industry, Tourism, and Transport Minister of Lumbini Province, Janki Prasad Yadav has said that Shivgarhi will be made a tourist area. Stating that Shivgarhi is a historical fort, there is a possibility to develop it as a tourist destination.
He said this while inaugurating the 5th Maha Shivratri festival special cultural festival organized at Shivgarhi located in Kapilvastu Shivraj Municipality ward number-9. Minister Yadav, who took charge of the ministry only a few days ago, claimed that Shivgarhi temple is a religious tourist spot.
He also said that since Shivgarhi is preferred by tourists, it will be given priority and will be moved forward. Minister Yadav says that he will allocate the budget claiming to make Lumbini a model place of the province. He expressed his commitment to developing taking into account the problems of the locals.
Meanwhile, Chinta Pariyar, acting president of the Maoist center Shivraj Nagar, said that the residents of Shivgarhi should unite to promote tourism. He said that there is a wealth of tourism potential for the development of this area, so it is necessary for everyone to join hands to develop it.
Rahish Shah, the youth leader of the Nepal Samajwadi Party, emphasized that vigilance should be done not only during Shivratri but also at other times. He says that we should not only give hope by showing big dreams like driving a car like in the past.
Vikram KC requested that the Shivgarhi area should be given more education along with tourism promotion. According to the organizer, the cultural program organized by Shivgarhi Sunrise Star Youth Club will be conducted till Falgun 6.
