Kapilvastu: Lumbini Chief Minister Kul Prasad KC has said that the provincial government is committed to uplift the living standards of the citizens. This was stated by Minister KC while addressing a ministerial reception and honors function organized by the JSP Cultural Federation at Chandrauta, Nepal in the district on Wednesday.
He said that the present government was committed to protect socialism and raise the living standards of the people. Minister KC said that the current government would give special priority to the districts lagging behind in the human development index and develop them in all sectors. He said that the government has given the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure to Kapilvastu for the development of religious and tourist sites like Tilaurakot.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister KC clarified that there is no justification for a three-tier government unless the people who are tired of poverty are transformed. He emphasized the need to be vigilant as regressive could raise their heads when they fail to prove the meaning of federalism.
Pointing to former Prime Minister Oli, Chief Minister KC remarked that the element of trying to draft the constitution would be defeated by itself. He said that the coalition government would move ahead by amending some points of the constitution as everyone has the responsibility to protect the constitution and democracy.
Chief Minister KC also recalled that the Janata Samajwadi Party had to use great force to split it, adding that the dictator had used some opportunists to attack the official JSP. He said that the current government has committed to do in six months what the previous government could not do in three years. Similarly, Minister for Physical and Infrastructure Development Sahasram Yadav claimed that development in Kapilvastu district would take a leap forward.
Yadav mentioned that the plan has been taken forward with the aim of completing the projects this year as there are many projects in the district.
The program chaired by young leader Rahish Shah was addressed by departmental ministers Purmati Dhega Magar, Suman Sharma Rayamajhi, and others. Similarly, Krishna Kumar Chaudhary’s welcome remarks were made by JSP provincial president Ashok Yadav, state spokesperson Akram Pathan, and others.
Meanwhile, a plan has been demanded from the Lumbini province government led by Ram Niwas Puri, district vice-chairman of Janata Samajwadi Party Kapilvastu. A demand letter has been handed over to Lumbini Chief Minister Kul Prasad K.C at a program organized by the federation.
It is mentioned in the demand letter that Bijaynagar rural municipality is lagging behind in the district on the basis of the overall development of Kapilvastu.
A request has also been made to the provincial government to take ownership of the projects run by the District Development Committee to support the municipality and to include the remaining unfinished projects in the state.
The demand letter addressed to Chief Minister KC states that a bridge should be constructed on Bahadurganj-Jingah road section, Jawbhari Pathardaiya-Birnagar road should be constructed, the road to Jawabairath of Bijaynagar should be constructed, the infrastructure of undergraduate classes should be managed in Vijayanagar, and school teacher posts should be filled. These were informed by JSP district vice-president puri.
