Kathmandu: All four-wheeled vehicles (passenger, cargo and private) entering through the highly crowded New Road Gate of Kathmandu have been arranged for open platform parking from today.
The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has informed that this system has been implemented from October 8th to Phulpati.
In a statement issued on Friday, the office mentioned that arrangements have been made for parking in the open platform by diverting traffic from the place where the traffic island is placed from 10 am until the traffic becomes normal in the evening.
The office expressed its best wishes for an accident-free journey during the festival and said that this arrangement has been implemented to reduce traffic congestion in the New Road area of Kathmandu.
The traffic police has also requested to be patient and assist in traffic management on the specified date and time.
