Uttar Pradesh, India: In Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district, a physician at a government health centre was fired and another was dismissed after giving anti-rabies injections instead of COVID vaccines to 3 women.
Rambir Singh, the supervisor of the community health centre, was moved in connection with the case by District Magistrate Jasjit Kaur on Wednesday.
On the basis of Sub-Divisional Magistrate Udav Tripathi’s investigation report, these employees were charged with negligence.
Last week, the female’s families said Saroj (70), Anarkali (72) and Satyavati (60) had gone to a community health centre in Kandhla to get the vaccine.
They were, however, given anti-rabies injection slip after the vaccines were administered.
