Distribution of relief materials to flood victims in Palhinandan rural municipality, The Horizon Times, News of Nepal

Nepal: Relief materials have been distributed to the flood victims in Sugauli, Ward No. 2, Palhinandan Rural Municipality, West Nawalparasi, Nepal.

Relief materials were distributed to the flood victims under the chairmanship of Palhinandan Rural Municipality Chairman Baiju Prasad Gupta (Dipak) and ABC Nepal Regional Chief Manoj Lamichhane. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Gupta said that he would always support the people of Palhinandan village in their happiness and sorrow.

He said that he would consider the problems of the villagers as his own problems and would help them with all kinds of problems on behalf of himself and the municipality. He also said that the villagers were working on various projects to solve the problem of floods.

He said that relief materials were being distributed by the municipality with the help of various organizations. He also thanked ABC Nepal and all the supporting organizations and adolescents.

Speaking on the occasion, Regional Chief Lamichhane said that relief materials would be distributed to the residents of Palhinandan village under the coordination and initiative of the village head as well as various organizations and foreign countries. He said that he was aware of the problems of the people of the Municipality.

According to the data collected by the adolescents, 100 households in Ward No. 2 received 30 kg of rice, 5 kg of lentils, 2 kg of salt, 5 kg of mixed seeds, 3 kg of sugar, 3 kg of vegetable oil, and 4 kg of chickpeas, bucket-1, mug 2-liter 1, sanitary pad-3 packet, Mask-1 packet, sanitizer (500 ml), Relief materials have been distributed to every household with 5 lifebuoy soaps and 1 thermometer.

The program was attended by the ward president of ward no. 2 Ramnagin Singh, ABC Nepal supervisor Rajman Barai, Rajesh Arya, Sanjit Sharma, Bishnu Pariyar, Kriti Thapa, Accountant Umesh Devkota, Volunteer Bandana Tharu, Dhampal Chaudhary were presented.

The program was conducted by Bishwaraj Lamichhane, Program Coordinator of KIRDARC Nepal.
