Kapilvastu, Nepal: Mayor of Shivraj Municipality Netra Raj Adhikari said that the program was effective as it was conducted by uniting the teenagers. Speaking at the annual review program organized by KIDARC Nepal Kapilvastu on Monday, the mayor has explained.
Stating that the dialogue has developed the capacity of the adolescents, he said that it has increased the access to education in overall area by imparting education to the adolescents by conducting dialogue classes for two hours every day.
Suggesting at the program, Ward No. 1 Chairman Jagat Bahadur G.C lauded the work done by KIDARC Nepal and said that it has helped in the transformation of the society as KIDARC has invested a lot to remove the distortions in the society.
Adolescents who are afraid to come out now have the ability to lead the society, so it should be made more effective.
Hari Prasad Laudari, District Coordinator of KIDARC Nepal, informed that 33 dialogue centers are being operated in Buddhabhumi Municipality and Shivaraj Municipality of Kapilvastu under the Sustainable and Dignified Economic and Social Empowerment Program.
Laudari said that various assistance has been provided to 1,800 households for livelihood and financial self-reliance with the objective of empowering the deprived community.
According to Laudari, financial assistance has been provided to the adolescents for vocational training, goat rearing for the citizens of deprived communities and investment in productive sectors.
He also said that the program, which will be operational till 2023 A.D, has changed the livelihood of the citizens.
According to Laudari, sanitation, child marriage control, corruption control and anti-corruption programs have been carried out in the area where the program was conducted.
Monitoring Officer Bidur Kumar Ale informed about the completed programs of this year.
