Flood displaced several villages

Due to the rainy season, Sarawal Rural Municipality Ward No. 6 and 7 of West Nawalparasi households in some villages has been displaced.

Kurthawal, Jiginihawa, Gadauri, Pusauli, Khadauna, Madhabaliya, Naudihawa of Ward No. 6. has been eroded. The families have been displaced including some parts of Bhujahawa and Ganeshpur (Budantapur) in the ward no. 7.

Around 60 families have been displaced in Sarawal Rural Municipality due to floods in Jharahi river. According to Chief Administrative Officer Buddha Prakash Poudel, some of the displaced families are living in relatives and some are living in residential areas built by the rural municipality.

Around seven houses in Ward No. 6 and 7 have been displaced and 500 hectors of cultivable land has been inundated. Also, flood-damaged paddy crops and other vegetables in wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, said rural municipality chairman Radheshyam Chaudhary.
