Sainamaina, Nepal: All the services provided by the municipal office have been stopped after the people’s representatives and employees of Sainamaina Municipal Office of Rupandehi, Nepal underwent contract tracing of corona infection (COVID-19).
In a statement issued on Thursday, the municipality said all services except the urgent ones have been shut down due to carnage of covid-19.
Hemraj Aryal, the chief administrative officer, said that the service flow and the office were closed after the people’s representatives and employees of the municipal office were traced to the contract of coronavirus infection. According to Aryal, the service has been suspended from Friday, November 6th to 9th November Monday.
The municipality has stated that the municipal office has been closed to reduce the infection as the rate of infection is likely to increase further. During this period, all works except health and sanitation will be closed.
342 Corona infections have been confirmed so far. Out of them, 279 have recovered and 4 have died.
Hemraj Panthi, chief of the municipal health branch, said that 12 people are currently being treated in isolation at Sainamaina Corona Hospital, Bankatta, 45 in home isolation and 2 others in different hospitals.
