Nepal: A street drama program against untouchability has been completed in Sarawal Rural Municiplaity Ward No. 6 Kurthawal of West Nawalparasi, Nepal. A street drama program against untouchability was held under the chairmanship of Kiran Harijan, chairperson of the Samvad Sahayog committee.
A street drama program against untouchability has been completed with the financial support of ABC Nepal Strom Foundation and the cooperation of Sarawal Rural Municipality and the project of Kisan Samvad Kendra.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Harijan said that untouchability is a legal crime. He said that it was important for all of us to raise our voice against untouchability, adding that strict action should be taken against the tendency of discriminating between big caste and small caste.
He also thanked the adolescents for raising awareness through various programs.
The program was facilitated by ABC Nepal Supervisor Saida Nisha Pathan, Volunteer Janaki Gaud, and animators of 15 dialogue centers within Sarawal Rural Municiplaity and locals.
