Training of Sanitary Pad

A two-day training on making sanitary pads for teenagers has been completed at the meeting hall of Mahendra Secondary School, Sarawal at Sarawal-3 in West Nawalparasi, Nepal.

The training, which has been conducted since Friday with the support of ABC Nepal and Storm Foundation, was completed on Saturday. It was organized by Samvad Adolescents Network in cooperation with Sarawal Rural Municipality.

The training was hosted by Aisha Khatun Vice President of the Network, Chief guest Uttama Rai Vice President of Sarawal Village Municipality and Coordinator of the Judicial Committee, and Adendranath Rai Ward Chairperson of Ward No. 3, the chief guest said that the training was useful for life. She had even said that it could scale the income and unfocused the teenagers toward self employment.

Speaking on the occasion, the distinguished guest also thanked ABC Nepal, Strom Foundation for imparting skills to the adolescents by conducting training and also developing the feeling that they can make pads and use themselves.

Speaking on the occasion, Khatun said that ABC Nepal has invested in the field as it is necessary to apply the knowledge and skills learned from the training in its practical life and also for its own hygiene.

Operated by ABC Nepal within Sarawal Rural Municipality there were 25 participants related to the network program. The training was facilitated by Kamala Fuldel. The program was conducted by Sandeep B.K, Treasurer of the Network.
