Nepal: A blood donation program has been completed on the eve of Vijaya Dashami at Kapilvastu’s Shivaraj-5, Chandrauta. Shishir Pokharel, president of the Rotaract Club of Kapilvastu, said that 81 people donated blood in the program.
At the blood donation program, Shiv Kumari Tharu, Deputy Chief of Shivraj Municipality, praised the work of the club at a time when there was a shortage of blood due to the Corona epidemic and other diseases.
Urging everyone to work in the social sector, Tharu said that the diarrhea epidemic has spread in the neighboring municipality Krishnanagar and everyone should be vigilant.
Pokharel, president of the Rotaract Club of Kapilvastu, said that a large blood donation program was organized on the eve of Dashain, saying that there was no regular blood collection program due to the fear of covid infection.
Notable blood donors are participating in the blood donation program organized by Rotaract Club of Kapilvastu, technical assistance of Blood Transfusion Center Bhairahawa, Shivraj Municipality, and Vijayanagar Rural Municipality, said Gopal Banjade, coordinator of Rotaract Club of Kapilvastu.
