The ongoing Couple Challenge hashtag has resurfaced on social network Facebook.
The couple’s challenge has come to the fore again after the security agencies warned that the photos of the couple uploaded in it could be misused by various porn sites.
Pune Police in India has appealed to the public to be careful while uploading photos in the Couple Challenge on social network Facebook. Pune police tweeted on social network Twitter and appealed to be aware of the possible misuse of photos uploaded to the Couple Challenge, according to the Indian Online Indian Express.
In a tweet on Thursday evening, Pune police warned: “Think twice before posting a picture of your partner.” Challenges that are fun when not taken care of can create awkward situations.
It is written on Twitter that the photos uploaded in the Couple Challenge are in danger of being used in cyber crimes such as porn sites and bombings. The Indian Express quoted a police official as saying that many reports of misuse of photos uploaded on social media have been registered with the police.
Cyber Police Station Inspector Jayaram Pegude said that considering the nature and number of complaints to be registered with the police, it is time to think many times before uploading photos on social media.
