Here is how youths are instructed for youth participation, good governance, and advocacy in Nepal, The Horizon Times

Kapilvastu: Three-day training on youth participation, good governance, and advocacy has been completed in Kapilvastu. According to the organizers, the training was conducted in Buddhabhumi Municipality-2, Gorusinge on Sunday.

The training was organized under the slogan “Let’s unite for youth rights and meaningful participation, assimilate rights and responsibilities and raise voice for the promotion of good governance”.

Ram Budha Magar, program coordinator of Indreni Rural Development Center, said that there is a plan to move ahead by formulating a common view on the issues of good governance, advocacy, and youth participation in meaningful representation in the presence of the club’s head and representatives.

Similarly, Pradip Shah, Executive Director of the organization, expressed his commitment to develop all the youth clubs as role models and to move forward by making meaningful participation, entrepreneurship, and capacity development of the youth effective. Shah said that the youths have signed a commitment letter and issued a 10-point declaration with effect from today.

Trainer Karna Bahadur Nepali also expressed solidarity in ensuring the maximum use of the current demographic dividend in Nepal to end all forms of discrimination, human rights, social justice and ensure youth participation in social transformation. He stressed the need to build an egalitarian society based on the principles of proportionality, inclusion, and participation to ensure economic prosperity, development, and social justice as per the Constitution of Nepal 2072 BS.

Instructor Nepali informed that zero tolerance should be maintained against corruption by promoting cooperatives, co-existence, mutual accountability, and coordination through proper mobilization of local resources in accordance with the concept of rule of law and sustainable development by distributing the benefits of democracy in a proportionate, inclusive and participatory manner.

Under the social and economic empowerment project of the marginalized community, the project of Indreni Rural Development Center and I.M Swedish Development Partner. In the program organized with the support of Swedish Development Partner, 21 youths from 14 youth clubs of Kapilvastu participated and Karna Bahadur Nepali imparted the training.
