Powerful Interaction of ABC Nepal with parents and stakeholders against drug abuse

Nawalparasi: An interaction program with parents and stakeholders against drug abuse has been completed. An interaction program with parents and stakeholders against drug abuse has been held at Janata Secondary School, Palhinandan-4, Loharauli with the financial support of ABC Nepal, Strom Foundation, and coordination of Palhinandan Rural Municipality and Samvad Dialogue of Adolescent Network.

Speaking on the occasion chaired by Suman Dusadh, Member of the Network, and Sanjay Kumar Pathak, Ward Chairman of Ward No. 4, the Chief Guest Pathak said, the problem could be solved by tightening the border checkpoints as it was easy to pass and consume the drugs due to the open border checkpoints of the neighboring country India.

He stressed the need to put a stop to the sale and distribution of various distilleries and liquor shops in the community and also to create awareness among the people through public awareness programs. And in particular, we all need to warn our children and ourselves not to take liquors and drugs.

The program was attended by ward member of ward no. 4, ward member Indrawati Harijan, Bikram Yadav of Janta Secondary School, Kabita Yadav, Journalist Suresh Yadav, Mahesh Yadav, Socialist Prabhabhit DHobi, and Bechani Kahar The program was conducted by Manita Dhakal, a volunteer of ABC Nepal.
