Relief distribution to children

Relief has been distributed to children from 23 months to 6 years in Pratappur Rural Municipality of West Nawalparasi.

Considering the possible risk due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the government has imposed a lockdown on children in Nepal since March 24. The operation of strong Nepal, cooperation of Pratappur Rural Municipality with special support of National Commercial Bank (RBB). nutritious flour, soap and masks, i.e. Covid-19 relief, have been distributed as nutritious food to 1800 children up to 09 years of age.

It was held under the patronage of Anju Chaudhary, Chairperson of Strong Nepal and acting Chairperson of Pratappur Rural Municipality.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Chaudhary said that since 80% of the brain development of children takes place within 23 months, nutritious food should be provided on time and continuous placement should be maintained for 23 months. Emphasis has been laid on providing nutritious food to children by mixing nutritious flour as well as lentils and green leafy vegetables.
