Nawalparasi, Nepal: Keeping in view the risk of floods and inundation, Sarawal Rural Municipality of West Nawalparasi, Nepal has provided various relief materials for the relief of the people in the flood-hit areas.
Various relief items including rubber boats, life jackets, helmets, gumboots, flashlights, raincoats, boxes were sent to Alhuda Human Services in Madhavaliya on Friday to reduce the risk of floods and inundation in Sarawal Ward No. 6 and 7.
Chairman of Sarawal Rural Municipality Radheshyam Chaudhary has informed that the handover was done.
Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhary said that there would be no such problem now as there was crop damage in the area. He also urged them to keep their much-needed documents safe during this rainy season and to exercise extreme caution in times of crisis.
Vice President of Sarawal Rural Municiplaity, Uttama Rai, Chief Administrative Officer Buddha Prakash Poudel, Chairman of Ward No. 6, Kailash Yadav, Alhuda Human Service Trust Chairman, Atau Rahman, Gobri Yadav of Churihar Samaj Sewi and chhotelal Gupta were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Uttama Rai, vice-chairperson of Sarawal Rural Municipality, urged to keep the rescue materials provided by the rural municipality safe and join the rescue work.
Stating that the rural municipality has provided relief to the families displaced by the floods and inundation, she stressed not to follow the rumors.
Chief Administrative Officer Buddha Prakash Poudel said that the Sarawal rural Municipality would always cooperate for the safety of the displaced families and provide relief and security materials in case of need.
Understanding the rescue materials, Alhuda Human Services Organization has expressed its commitment to serve the flood and inundation of affected people by making proper use of the rescue materials provided by the local government.
