Chandrauta Kapilvastu Nepal: An interaction program has been held in Ward No. 4 of Shivaraj Municipality on Thursday on the occasion of the 16-day campaign against gender-based violence.
Ward Chairperson of Shivraj Municipality Ward-4 Safiq Ahmed Musalman said that the incidents of violence against women and rape have been coming out in the society nowadays and the people have become aware dueto the campaign. He said that the society has become effective due to public awareness programs. Chairman Musalman claimed that the society has been modified to some extent even though the “Awadhi” community has lagged behind other communities.
Addressing the program, Krishna Bahadur KC, a ward member of Shivraj Municipality, Ward No. 4, said that the responsibility of how to move the society forward would be in the hands of the leaders of the society and the society would change accordingly.
According to Diyalo Nepal Kapilvastu, interaction and discussion program has been held in wards 1, 2 and 3 under Shivraj Municipality under the 16-day campaign against gender-based violence from 25th November , 2020.
The program organized by Diyalo Nepal with the support of Shivraj Municipality was chaired by Diyalo Nepal President Tara Thapa, Ward President Safiq Ahmed Musalman was the chief guest, Krishna Bahadur KC of Shivraj Municipality Ward No. 3 as Special Hospitality, Ward Secretary, Shivraj Municipality Executive Member and various associations were special part of program. The program was conducted with the participation of more than 26 women including the head and representatives of the organization, volunteers and health workers Pampha Sapkota conducted the program.
