Kapilvastu, Nepal: Shivaraj Municipality, Ward No. 3 of Kapilvastu has given a drawer as a gift to a women’s health volunteer. Ward Chairperson Teklal Sapkota said that 1/1 drawer was given as a gift to 10 volunteers who did excellent work in their ward.
Sapkota said that the drawers were distributed with the belief that the service provided to the recipients at the risk of even among the Covid-19.
Initially, there were many misconceptions about getting a delivery at a health post, but in recent times, public trust has been increasing due to women health volunteers and the number of deliveries has also increased day by day, said Jeet Bahadur B.C, head of Chanai Health Post.
In the past, people were forced to go to Butwal and other places to deliver but now they are providing quality services and the lab services have made them more effective, said Chief B.C.
Similarly, Sima GC, a women’s health volunteer, thanked the chairperson and the municipality for the excellent work done by the ward through the ward level budget. She thanked him for highly appreciating the work done by her and expressed her commitment to continue working diligently.
She also said,” It used to be difficult for them to keep the materials they got from the ward, but now it is very easy to keep the documents and medicines as well.
