Request by Chief Chaudhary to be alert and safe about the risk of floods and landslides

Nawalparasi, Nepal: The danger of floods is increasing in Sarawal rural municipality of West Nawalparasi, Nepal. Some houses have been displaced in different wards of the rural municipality.

Some areas in the municipality have been inundated due to the incessant rains for three days and houses have been displaced and the property has been damaged. The floods have displaced homes and increased the risk and problems.

The floods caused by the annual rains have affected the lives of the people and damaged property. Due to which the people living in the general public have been forced to lead a hard and miserable life. Wards 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 of the municipality have been affected by the floods.

Most of the lands in wards 6 and 7 have been inundated and houses have been displaced. Most of the houses in Khadauna, Madhavaliya, and Naudihawa villages of Ward No. 6 have been displaced due to the floods and the area has been inundated with loss of property.

Urging all the flood-affected wards and displaced families in the village to be alert and safe about the damage and risk of floods and landslides in this dire situation, the disaster management committee has been informed from time to time.

Chaudhary has requested that the municipality will provide necessary services to the displaced families by contacting the Disaster Management Committee.
