Adolescents are oriented and supplied

Orientation and distribution of materials to the adolescents in miseries has been completed in Palhinandan of West Nawalparasi, Nepal.

Orientation and materials have been distributed to the adolescents under the life project with the support of United Mission to Nepal and coordination of Palhinandan Rural Municipality under the project of Sunwal Community Development Center.

Former President of Sunwal Community Development Center Sanjay Kumar Shrestha and Palhinandan Rural Municipality Vice-President Pabitra Kohar presided over the function. K95 masks, sanitizers, soaps,paste, shampoo, brush, pads and nail cutters have been distributed.

Speaking on the occasion, Rural Municipality Vice-Chairman Kohar said that pregnant women, children, senior citizens and adolescents are most at risk in the situation of global terror. As some adolescents are victims of sexual violence, the perpetrators should be brought to book.

The incidents of violence against women, trafficking of girls, child violence and child marriage are increasing in the villages. She appealed to all to help in building a prosperous rural municipality.

Expressing appreciation for the exemplary work done by Sunwal Community Development Center she has also requested for expansion in the entire ward as it is only in ward 5 and 6.

In the program, Ward no. 4 President Sanjay Pathak, Ward no. 5 president Om Prakash Gupta, Radio Parasi program chief Malati Neupane, social mobilizer Ashok Kumar Gupta and Shakti Kaushal were presented. The program was facilitated by Umesh Kumar B.K.
