Earthquake shakes New Delhi NCR region and Pakistan with magnitude of 6.1

Delhi, India: An earthquake shook the Indian capital New Delhi on Friday night at 10:30 PM. Several people felt the giant jolt and came out from their houses to save themselves.

The earthquake struck at 10:31 pm tonight.

According to the National Earthquake Measurement Center of India, a magnitude 6.1 Richter scale shook the Delhi and NCR region.

The jolt also affected Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana and other parts of northern India, according to Indian media.

The quake is also felt in several region of Pakistan.

The epicenter was reported at a depth of 80 kilometers below the ground in Tajikistan. Earlier today, an earthquake was also felt in Rajasthan. People are worried due to the massive jolts.
