Rupandehi, Nepal: A community health unit building has been constructed and inaugurated on Wednesday with the objective of providing quality health services in Siyari rural municipality of Rupandehi. The community health unit is currently operating in a rented house.
Rural Municipality Chairman Ayodhaya Tharu said that it will be easier for the people of the rural municipality to provide services and get services after the community health unit health post is operated from the new building. He also requested the locals to seek treatment at the health post as various medicines and treatments are free of cost. He also said, “The rural municipality has provided various health services. You can go to the nearest health facility and get the services. Many services are also free.”
Chief Administrative Officer of Siyari Rural Municipality, Min Prasad Bhattarai, said that the rural municipality has completed the construction of the community health unit health post building at a cost of NRs. 34 lakh 16 thousand and fifty four.
Similarly, on Wednesday, Ward no. 5 Ward office building has been inaugurated. Ayodhya Tharu inaugurated the health post building and ward office building of Ward No. 5 on Wednesday.
The contract for the construction of the ward office building was awarded to Shree Krishna Nirman Seva Arghakhanchi at a cost of NRs. Fifty lakh eight thousand five hundred and nine.
Ward chairperson of Ward no. 5 Thamman Bahadur Poudel said that Siyari Ward no. 5 ward office and health post of same ward were currently operating on lease. He also pledged to develop the ward as per the wishes of the local citizens.
Romlal Puri, chief of the planning branch said, the ward office and community health unit health post building has been built earthquake resistant.
In the program, Siyari rural municipality ward no. 3 Ward President Ghisan Ahir, Ward no. 4 ward President Shri Prasad Shrestha, Ward no. 6 Ward president of Sher Bahadur Gurung, executive members Deuki Kharel, Vishnu Rayamajhi, ward secretary of ward no. 5 Diwakar Tripathi, Krishna Bhushal of education planning branch, including Chandrakant Sharma and Sushma Bhandari local citizen spoke on the occasion.
