National Family Planning Day celebrated

National Family Planning Day has been celebrated with great pomp in Parasi, the district headquarters of West Nawalparasi.

The program organized by Nepal Family Planning Association, West Nawalparasi, concluded at the meeting hall of Nepal Family Planning Association, Parasi, handing over fruits and vegetables to the administration of the hospital at Prithvichandra Hospital, West Nawalparasi.

The Government of Nepal had observed for the first time on 18th  of September, 2014 as the National Family Planning Day. Appreciating the contribution made by the Nepal Family Planning Association in reproductive Health, the government had decided to celebrate the foundation day of the association as the National Family Planning Day from 2014. The Association working in the field of sexual and reproductive rights, was established in 2015 on this day. The association has been celebrating its foundation day as Family Planning Day.

The program was chaired by Shuvash Chandra Agrawal, President of Nepal Family Planning Association, West Nawalparasi, working committee member Vikas Ghimire, youth member Imamul Ali and others were presented. President Amrit Singh G.C made congratulatory remarks and the interaction program was facilitated by Senior Nurse Anjani Shrestha.
