Chandrauta, Nepal: Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel of Lumbini Province has said that the number of road accidents will be reduced after the refresh center comes into operation. This was stated by Minister Pokharel while laying the foundation stone of a smart refresh center to be built at Shivraj-5, Chandrauta, Nepal under the East-West Highway with the investment of the state government.
He said that it would be very useful for the drivers to rest mainly in the areas where there is heavy traffic. The province government has urged the people to make proper use of the East-West Highway as it has moved ahead with the construction of refreshments at various places. Minister Pokharel said that such retention of the province would help in building a clean and civilized society of the new era.
Stating that development has taken off after the formation of the province government in Kapilvastu district, which is lagging behind Lumbini province, Pokharel said that the people of Shivraj municipality will no longer have to go for treatment.
He said that Chandrauta would be the main focal point of Shivraj Municipality and Krishnanagar border. He also expressed confidence that the capital would benefit the people of Chandrauta and help in improving the economic situation.
He said that the Tilaurakot Master Plan would change the face of the district as Kapilvastu is the best in the state in terms of tourism. He said that the development of railways in the northern region and postal highway in the southern region has gained momentum.
He said that the Rapti Surahi border diversion and Kaligandaki Tinahu diversion scheme for irrigation in Kapilvastu district can be fully irrigated.
Chief Minister Pokhrel said that the Lumbini province government would pay back interest to the farmers and those who wanted to start an enterprise.
Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Development Baijnath Chaudhary said that now there is an obligation to see garbage along the east-west road in Lumbini. Until now, the refresh center has removed the obligation to stop vehicles from urinating as soon as they enter the forest, said Minister Chaudhary.
Minister for Industry, Tourism and Environment Lila Giri said that the construction of the refresh center would reduce environmental pollution.
He said that the development plan should be carried out in a balanced manner as there is conflict between environment protection and development.
State Assembly member Dirgha Narayan Pandey said that the present government is doing various things to bring Kapilvastu to the forefront even though it was a backward district. State Assembly member Arjun Kumar K.C. urged the construction company to complete the construction work on time.
He said that the Kapilvastu district was lagging behind in every aspect and now the government would help in raising the pride scheme.
Bhimeshwor Drilling and Construction Services has been entrusted to construct the refresh center at a cost of Rs. 36.40 million in the first phase so that the refresh center can be completed within two years.
The Smart Refresh Center will have smart rest room, toilet, shower room, park, parking lot, seating area, pathway, road area, car washing, charging station and driver room.
