Foundation stone of Bahadurganj Eye Hospital

Bahadurganj, Nepal: The staff accommodation building of Chhand (Kalebabu) Narayani Eye Hospital in Bahadurganj of Kapilvastu has been inaugurated on Tuesday.

The hospital has stated that the staff accommodation building of Narayani Eye Hospital operated under Nepal Eye Jyoti Union Eye Health Program Rapti and Bahadurganj is being constructed at a cost of NRs 5 million.

Speaking on the occasion, Buddhiram Bhandari, Member of Constituent Assembly and Advisor of Chhand Kale Babu Narayani Eye Hospital, said that treatment should not be delayed as eyes are an important part of the body.

He said that the hospital has provided easy and accessible services for the treatment of sensitive organs like eyes.

Stating that the service flow of the hospital should not be delayed, Bhandari suggested the staff to work with determination.

The hospital, which has been operating eye health in Bahadurganj for the past 16 years, has been treating eye patients from Nepal and India, said Advisor Bhandari.

According to him, the eye hospitals run by the federation are providing quality services and the support of all is essential for the physical development of the hospital.

As eye treatment is more accessible, comfortable and reliable in Nepal than in India, more Indian citizens come to the hospital than Nepalese.

It is said that the landlord Narayani Shah has made a great contribution by providing land to the hospital free of cost.

Similarly, Lila Shah, coordinator of the construction committee, expressed happiness over the construction of the hospital. They used to provide services from a small building in the past, is now provid services to the patients from a well-equipped building.

Stating that even the doctors will get relief after the construction of the building, she suggested that the treatment system should be made systematic and the message about the service flow should be conveyed to the villages.

The construction work of the eight-room staff housing building should be completed within 3 months, said coordinator Shah.

Member of the House of Representatives Abhishek Pratap Shah said that the construction work of the building has been started with the assistance of NRs. 5 million allocated from the Local Infrastructure Partnership Development Program. Jasraj Bishwakarma, Administrative Officer of Chhand Kale Babu Narayani Eye Hospital, Bahadurganj expressed thanks giving to the exemplary work.
