Nawalparasi, Nepal: In Sarawal village municipality ward no. 6 of West Nawalparasi Public awareness training and distribution of sanitary pads to the adolescents has been completed.
Awareness related training and distribution of sanitary pads to the adolescents studying in the Samvad Center with the support of Samriddhi Social Development Organization and the office of Sarawal Rural Municipality Ward No. ward No. 6.
The program was held at Tulsi Samvad Center Badsaar under the chairmanship of Mahesh Yadav and the chief guest of Sarawal Rural Municipality Chairman Radheshyam Chaudhary.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest Chaudhary said that special attention should be paid to the hygiene of the adolescents and they should continue their studies as well.
At the same time, adolescents need to pay special attention to personal hygiene and should know how to avoid falling prey to various diseases, the problems and symptoms of menstruation and how to avoid it.
He expressed his gratitude to the sponsoring organization saying that he would always conduct various public awareness trainings and solve the problems.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Yadav said that the practice of wearing clothes as pads by the ancestors should be removed appropriate pads produced by the scientific method should be in practice.
He further said that it would strengthen the society by raising public awareness in the community against superstitions and evil practices such as staying away from home or not eating food during menstruation and would reduce the negative attitude and discrimination towards women during menstruation.
The program started with the welcome speech of Tulsi Dialogue Center’s Animator Sandhya Yadav.
The program was attended by ward president of ward no. 6 Kailash Yadav and ward member Nem Narayan Yadav, journalist Suresh Yadav and others were also present.
